There are many ways to waste time. And maybe it depends on how you personally define what is a waste of your own time. However, I do believe there are some things that can be categorized as wasted time for all of us.
I will say upfront that wasting time is one of the things in life that truly drives me crazy. I just don’t like it in any shape, form, or fashion. And it does come in many shapes for sure.
It could be wasted time on a project, making a decision, or time spent being upset about something or with someone that we truly can’t change. I am sure as you are reading right now you could immediately think of something you have experienced that was a waste of time, am I right? Pretty sure that I am. It is a sad but true fact for us all.
If you read the post http://lesliebizzell.com/losing-someone-you-love/ you know that I recently lost my dad. And I can tell you for sure it has changed my perspective even more in the choices I make on a daily basis.
I don’t want to waste time anymore. Plain and simple. Time is a gift.
Ephesians 3 :1 For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.
I know that I am just human and to be honest I also know that yes I will continue to waste time because as we know we are not perfect. But I would like to encourage all of us to take time to consider areas of our lives where we are currently wasting time and seek the Lord and His wisdom for possible changes we need to make when it comes to how we spend our time.
And it will look different for each of us, but I can assure you that the time spent seeking the Lord and allowing Him to order our steps each day is time that will never be wasted. Take that time today. You will not regret it.
