Answer this, without thinking.
Am I enough?
How many of us if we are honest can say we have felt like we just don’t measure up? Maybe in our job, our family, or our other relationships. That somehow you are just lacking something. Have you ever felt this way?
Sure we all have at one time or another. And these thoughts are not crazy or abnormal but they are just not right thinking. I mean first of all one of the best things we can do is to accept the fact that we are all imperfect in one way or another. So let’s go a little deeper with this question.
The real question is: What are we trying to measure up to? There is so much pressure in the world today on everyone to measure up to some extremely unrealistic ideas. And it starts at a very young age too. From what we eat, wear, where we go to school, work and even think and so on and on it goes.
This undue pressure can cause us to lead lives we were never intended to live. God created each of us for a specific purpose and plan for our lives. We all have our own part to play and that is by design.
You remember the dents I talked about, you know our imperfections? Well I believe wholeheartedly they are on purpose. They help us to connect with others. And as we connect we can bring encouragement and help strengthen each other so we can walk in and fulfill the purpose God has for us. So know that you are enough in God’s eyes and He wants to use you with all your imperfections to share His love and good news with others.
In our weaknesses He is made strong and that is more than enough!
